CyberLink to Announce Consolidated Revenue on a Quarterly Basis Starting 2009

TAIPEI, Taiwan—February 9, 2009—CyberLink Corp (5203.TW), innovative solutions provider for the connected media lifestyle, will begin announcing consolidated revenue on a quarterly basis. In compliance with financial regulations in Taiwan, CyberLink will continue to post its headquarters’ revenue on a monthly basis.

CyberLink’s revenues from customers in the US and Japan are mainly booked by CyberLink’s local subsidiaries. Meanwhile, revenue from CyberLink’s headquarters primarily reflects the headquarters’ own sales, including sales to its subsidiaries.

CyberLink recognizes revenues from its major PC customers via monthly or quarterly licensing reports. PC customers submit their report, declaring the number of copies installed or duplicated for each product in the previous month or quarter. CyberLink books the revenue upon receipt of each report. As a result, CyberLink’s monthly revenue is biased by the reports received and booked for each previous month or quarter.

CyberLink stresses that the reporting of consolidated quarterly revenue is a better indicator of the company’s seasonal performance. This change in reporting is not only in line with international compliance practices; it is also intended to eliminate misleading results caused by the performance of individual months. CyberLink’s competitors already announce their revenue figures on a quarterly basis.
