CyberLink Launches MagicDirector 2 Featuring Automated Video Editing and Direct Uploading to the Web

Provides Digital Home Plug-in for Windows Media Center and PowerCinema

Taipei, Taiwan----January 15, 2007----CyberLink Corp. (5203.TWO), a world leader in digital home solutions, announced today the release of MagicDirector 2, automated video editing software enabling easy movie production from recorded video files and playback on PSP, iPods, and uploading to the web.

CyberLink MagicDirector incorporates a number of magic tools to edit videos automatically. MagicDirector's editing features are based on CyberLink's intelligent video editing technology called Magic Cut. By simply setting a length and a theme, Magic Cut intelligently analyzes content, retaining the best clips, and applies video effects automatically to produce final video productions.

Magic Style lets users create a video style from a range of built-in themes by applying one of 12 preset styles to raw video footage. Each Magic Style contains its own combination of effects, screen frames, and clip length. Users can further personalize their videos by choosing to randomize effects – and enjoy many more effect-combination options. MagicDirector 2 offers two brand new styles for this version: Pets and Sports.

Magic Clean easily and quickly corrects insufficient lighting, unbalanced colors, or distracting amounts of background noise. Users can improve the sound and visual qualities of their videos automatically with Magic Clean and enjoy an improved viewing experience with just a few clicks on a remote.

MagicDirector gives users the ability to use photos as source to create unique, animated slideshows, and then add titles, transitions, themes and music. Once the slideshow is complete, it can be output as a video file and enjoyed through a variety of media playback devices, or online.

Videos can be output for enjoyment on both PSP and iPod, and can be published online by uploading them to YouTube or MediaMax powered by Stream Load.

"MagicDirector's automated editing makes home video and photo slideshow creation both fast and fun," said Alice H. Chang, CEO of CyberLink. "As an enhancer to both PowerCinema and Windows Vista, users can use a remote to edit videos into stylishly themed movies and then enjoy them on their PSP, iPod or publish them online."

CyberLink MagicDirector offers these outstanding features:

MagicDirector is fully compatible with CyberLink PowerCinema and Windows Vista Media Center, letting users edit recorded and captured videos with a remote control.

Background music can be mixed with a video's audio track.
