(5203.TW), a world leader and pioneer in providing integrated solutions for the Digital Home, announced today a CyberLink PowerCinema collaboration with LG Electronics PCs to bring digital TV support for the ATSC format (Advanced Television Systems Committee) in Korea.
CyberLink PowerCinema, a 2005 CES award honoree, is a digital home software application that let's users watch TV, listen to radio, CDs and music, watch DVD movies, rip CDs, and a host of other functions operable by remote control with a stylish 3D interface that enhances the digital home experience. Together with LG Electronics computers in Korea, PowerCinema will ship with ATSC format support and enable users to watch digital TV.
The ATSC format covers digital broadcasts via terrestrial signals and was developed by the Advanced Television Systems Committee, an international, non-profit organization with members ranging from broadcasting, motion picture, and consumer electronics, to computer, cable satellite, and semiconductor industries.
