  • Access control at the facility relied on ID cards, which was ineffective at preventing unauthorized entry when using someone else's credentials. Manual verification of each employee was time-consuming and susceptible to errors or fraud. To balance security and efficiency, there was a need for highly accurate automatic facial recognition.
  • Safety is of paramount importance in the petrochemical industry, with employees required to wear masks, safety goggles, and construction helmets. Additionally, the facility had poor outdoor lighting with backlighting issues and inadequate indoor lighting, making facial recognition even more challenging.
