How to use and edit clipping masks | PhotoDirector Editing Tutorial

Using clipping masks is a very simple way to produce creative effects for your photos. Clipping mask uses the content and transparency of one layer to control the visibility of another. In this tutorial, we will show you how to use the clipping mask to make your text more outstanding.

To create a clipping mask, we need two layers. Go to the Layer module and select the image as the background image.

Select the Text tool and click on the canvas to add a text layer..

Drag the image of the blue sky to the top of the layers.

To apply the clipping mask, right click on the layer and select the Apply Clipping Mask. The blue sky will only appear at the area of the text.

For a finishing touch, you can resize and reposition the blue sky image as desired to show the different area of this clipping mask effect.
