When is TrueTheater Not Available?

During playback, there are some circumstances where TrueTheater enhancements are not available:

Note: depending on your hardware setup, videos with a frame rate higher than 30 FPS might be reduced to 30 FPS when TrueTheater Enhancements are applied.

TrueTheater video enhancements are not available during the playback of MOV (alpha PNG) files.

TrueTheater Lighting, Color, and HDR are not available when the video resolution exceeds 4096×2160*.

TrueTheater HD, Motion, and Noise Reduction are not available when the video resolution exceeds 1920×1080.

TrueTheater HD, Motion, and Noise Reduction are not available when casting video with a resolution that exceeds 1920×1080.

TrueTheater HDR cannot be applied to HDR video.

TrueTheater HDR is only available in windowed** mode if your graphics card and display device support it.

TrueTheater HDR is not available for DVD movies, on 360° video, or when a video file's resolution is above 4096×2160.

TrueTheater audio enhancements are not available when the selected HDMI audio output mode in More Audio Settings is either of the "non-decoded" passthrough to external device options.

Note: * TrueTheater video enhancements are only available for 4K video under Windows 64-bit. ** computers with certain NVIDIA/Intel/AMD GPUs support the use of TrueTheater HDR in Windowed mode.
