Click the > Player Settings to open the Settings window, and then click the Video, Audio, Subtitles tab. The available options are as follows:

Video

In the Video section you can enable hardware acceleration, apply video enhancements, and more. The available settings are as follows:

•Enable hardware acceleration decoding whenever possible: select this option to use GPU acceleration to decode the video for smoother movie playback. When the option is selected, CyberLink PowerDVD will enable (if possible) hardware acceleration whenever playing Blu-ray/DVD/video files. Whether hardware acceleration can be enabled or not depends on your computer's GPU (ex. Intel, NVIDIA, AMD) capabilities. For more detailed information, check with your GPU manufacturer, or contact our customer support team.

•AMD Fluid Motion for Blu-rays: if your computer's graphics card and driver supports AMD™ Fluid Motion, this option will be available. Select it to enable smoother Blu-ray playback.

•Click the Video Enhancements button to apply enhancements to the current video you are watching. See Enabling Video Enhancements for a detailed description of the available features and settings.

Click the More Video Settings button to access additional settings, such as de-interlacing and setting the playback aspect ratio. See More Video Settings for more detailed information.

Audio

In the Audio section you can set the audio output mode and more. The available settings are as follows:

•Output: depending on your sound card and/or number of speakers, select the output that matches your configuration. See Speaker Environment for a definition of each output type.

Subtitles and Closed Captions

This section lets you change font, style, position, encoding, and more for subtitles on movie files. You can also change the font face, size, and color for closed captions text. Click the Subtitles Settings button to access these settings. See Subtitles Settings for more detailed information.
