I Receive HDCP Errors When Playing Blu-ray Movies. What Can I Do? |
To play Blu-ray Disc movies in PowerDVD your computer environment must meet all the requirements for Blu-ray Disc playback. See: https://www.cyberlink.com/support/faq-content.do?id=19860
These requirements include the requirement of an HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compatible environment. If you receive an HDCP or “cannot play Blu-ray Disc” related error, this means your environment does not meet the HDCP requirements.
Here are a few things you can check if you receive these errors:
1.Ensure any external display (TV, computer monitor, etc.) is connected to your computer with an HDCP compatible cable (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-D cable).
2.Ensure there are no splitters/repeaters/adapters on the display device’s cord/port.
3.Update your GPU driver to the latest version. Continual updates are required to maintain HDCP compliance.
4.Change your display device’s projection mode from Clone/Mirror to either Secondary Monitor Only or Extended Desktop Mode.
We also recommend that you download and use the CyberLink BD Advisor, which will check whether your computer environment is HDCP compliant and ready for Blu-ray Disc playback.
