You
have greater control and precision with clearly labeled buttons,
a choice of editing modes, a larger preview window, and new
and improved features.
Fast
Previewing In Low Resolution NEW
After adding a special effect for the first time, you can
use the low resolution preview to check out the timing and
suitability of your creative decision. Before you produce
your movie file, you can switch to high-resolution to focus
on the final quality of your movie. Select from the following
preview modes:
low resolution
normal resolution
high resolution
Displaying
Tracks During Movie Preview NEW
You have the option to display or hide
specific tracks for movie previewing (inapplicable to
clip previewing). This option lets you focus on the specific
effect you are currently considering.
Setting
Clip Aspect Ratios NEW
All video clips usually come in two
aspect ratios—4:3 (standard-sized TV) and 16:9 (widescreen).
Depending on your media clips and the medium you will
be using to view your movie, you can adjust your movie’s
aspect ratio accordingly with PowerDirector. Before you
produce your movie, set the aspect ratio for all of your
clips so that it matches the aspect ratio of your project.
Align
to Clip Edge
With a simple right mouse click, PowerDirector provides a
convenient and accurate method of aligning effects and audio
clips with your video clips. Easier than manually dragging
into position, you can select whether you prefer aligning
clips to the left or right edge of a video clip.
Lockable
Tracks
You may lock tracks to protect an entire
series of clips or effects from accidental mistakes like
deletion or changes to the particular track on the timeline.
Insert
DVD Chapters
Setting DVD chapters on the timeline
makes creating menu chapters easier by including them in
the editing process. You may set chapters evenly according
to the full length of the video at the beginning of each
clip or according to a set duration.
The information created during Edit mode is transferred
into the Produce mode, ensuring the DVD authoring process
is faster then ever.
Multi-Trim
Multi-trim offers a simple means
of editing a long clip by manually inserting multiple in and
out points along a timeline. Once the In and Out points have
been set, you can delete unwanted video with one click. Two
different scenes are easily linked, enabling you to shift
your action, the time, or location.
You'll be ensured more accurate
trimming with the Magnifier. Magnify a section on the trim
bar by a factor of frames or seconds to get a microscopic
close-up.
