System Requirement


Playing high-definition or 3D content from a Blu-ray Disc is much more demanding on your PC resources than playing DVD movies. The following specifications are system recommendations for playing Blu-ray Discs on a PC. Information is subject to change, but will be updated periodically.

Processor

Dual or quad core processors recommended

Video RAM

256 MB graphics card memory or more

Operating System

Microsoft Windows Vista or Microsoft Windows XP
Only supports Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed

System Memory (RAM)

512 MB (minimum), 1 GB or more is recommended

Graphics Card

Display Devices

  • HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliant display (DVI, HDMI connections) for digital output
  • TV (composite, component, S-Video) or computer monitor (VGA) for analog output

Software

PowerDVD 7 and above Ultra.

Note: An easy way to determine whether your version of PowerDVD supports Blu-ray Discs is to look for the Blu-ray Disc logo on the main screen of PowerDVD. If you don't see this logo, it is likely your version of PowerDVD doesn't support Blu-ray Discs.

Processor

Intel Pentium D 950 (3.0GHz), AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ (2.4GHz) or above

Disc Drive

Blu-ray Disc drive

Microsoft Windows 7, Vista* or XP SP3* (Windows XP Service Pack 3 is required).

 

Note: * PowerDVD with NVIDIA 3D Vision is not supported under Windows Vista and XP.

System Memory (RAM)

2 GB (minimum)

Graphics Card

Intel Graphic Media Accelerator HD (Intel Core i3/i5), NVIDIA Geforce GTX 400 series and Gefore GT 240/320/330/340.

Display Devices

  • 3D display and 3D glasses are required (NVIDIA 3D Vision*, 3D Ready HDTV, Micro-polarizer LCD and Anaglyph Red/Cyan Glasses)
  • HDCP compliant display for digital output.

Software

PowerDVD 10 Ultra Mark II.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66GHz), AMD Phenom 9450 (2.10GHz) or above
