Gender Equality
According to Corporate Governance Best Practice Principles, boards of directors must follow and implement diversity guidelines. The corporate board of directors currently includes one female member.
CyberLink’s management level, talent employment, and promotion system all follow the gender equality policies. Both female and male employees have equal rights of participation at all levels, and CyberLink ensures the gender equality policies are implemented at the management level and in all decision-making processes.

Clean Water and Sanitation
Water Source Protection
The software industry that CyberLink is engaged in is a green industry. There is no industrial water and no single-use waste during product development and manufacturing.
For residential water usage in company office, we change water filters and clean water tanks regularly to make sure employees have access to clean water. CyberLink also communicates the importance of water conservation to increase the sense of water source protection.
Practices of Safety and Health. Responding to UN’s Sustainable Goals
CyberLink has formulated the "General Principles of Occupational Safety and Health Management" to ensure that employees enjoy a safe and healthy working environment in all locations where commercial and labor activities are carried out.
- All employees should follow workplace safety and health policy.
- All employees, no matter their role, should do their work by adhering to the policy and helping to regularly check that all facilities are safe.
- All employees should keep workplace clean and organized.
- All employees should be equipped with personal protective gear if needed.

- Dangerous equipment should be utilized only after it has been inspected by a safety professional to ensure its quality, and should only be operated by people with certifications.

Decent Work and Economic Growth
After its founding in 1996, CyberLink has five development stages with different strategies and goals.
Foundation
Partnered with PC and notebook manufacturers to pre-load PowerDVD software directly on their devices. CyberLink focus more on multimedia decoding techniques.
Serving for several major computer brands and manufacturers, cultivated technical strength and achieved business success, lays the foundation for CyberLink’s subsequent development to develop our own brand.
PC OEM&ODD
PowerDVD preloaded on personal computers and notebook computers achieved international market success.
Start to develop CyberLink’s own brand, and continue to expand sales channels, online ecommerce webstore, physical distribution channels, third-party sales channels, etc.
Expand product line, launched PowerDirector, Power2Go and other software to enrich product offerings.
CyberLink Brand
CyberLink branded products have solid market share in the United States, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Taiwan and other markets. Continues to improve product features, strengthen brand preference, introduces 1080P, 4K, and VR new technologies to the market.
CyberLink continues to optimize ecommerce conversion rate, adopts digital marketing to advance domestic and international market penetration.
In response to the rise of mobile devices, CyberLink launches PowerDirector app, PhotoDirector, YouCam, YouCam Makeup apps, ,etc. Spin-off Perfect Corp. in 2015.
Transformation
Optimizes product line by gradually reducing the number of CD-ROM related products. Keeps improving product features of creativity video, photo, audio editing software, and nurturing new business, such as facial recognition and video conference solutions.
Gains diverse profit source by increasing revenue stream from mobile apps and advertisement incomes. CyberLink transforms business model into subscription model, turns its flagship products such as Creative Director (Director Suite), PowerDirector, PhotoDirector, etc. to subscription-based model and achieves significant subscriber growth.
In addition to subscription model transformation, CyberLink fosters new business and launches facial recognition engine FaceMe® in 2018. FaceMe® has established a foothold in USA, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.
New CyberLink
Continues to grow subscription-based services of creativity editing software and mobile apps. Subscription revenue delivers strong growth trend from 2019 to 2022, and is expecting a high renewal rate, which will fuel future growth with recurring revenue. FaceMe® strategically partnered with major chipset makers such as Intel, NVIDIA, NXP, Qualcomm, MediaTek, etc. to provide integrated edge-based AI facial recognition for a wide range of IoT and AIoT solutions. CyberLink also launched FaceMe® Security、FaceMe® Fintech 、FaceMe® TimeClock 、FaceMe® Smart Retail solutions, and will further develop more vertical applications to fulfill all kinds of client needs in a diverse industry.
Shaping A Global Brand
CyberLink is one of the few software companies in Taiwan that has successfully gone global. Its flagship product PowerDirector software (Windows/macOS) and PowerDirector App (iOS/Android) contribute impressive sales numbers through different channels, with solid market share and top rankings in the USA, Japan, and Germany, and have been recognized for several international awards.
CyberLink has been working on transforming its business model into a subscription model since 2018. Its creativity video editing software and mobile apps business have delivered a high growth rate in revenue over the last 3 years.
In addition to benefiting digital content creators, CyberLink also contributes to the vigorous development of the content economy.
Nurturing New Business in AI and AR
CyberLink has actively worked on developing new business in recent years. The FaceMe® AI facial recognition engine was introduced in 2018, and ranked in the top 10 in both 1:1 and 1:N in the world renewal NIST (National Institute of Science and Technology) and FRVT (Facial Recognition Vendor Test). Through cooperation with world-leading chipset makers and AIoT manufacturers, FaceMe® offers accurate and reliable facial recognition technology for a wide range of intelligent IoT applications.
On October 31, 2022, CyberLink’s invested company “Perfect Corp.” has become the first Taiwan-based SaaS company listed on the NYSE. Perfect is a pioneer in transforming the consumer shopping experience with its sophisticated SaaS solutions, including live product try-ons.
Spun-off from CyberLink in 2015, Perfect is a global leading provider of AI and AR SaaS solutions in the beauty and fashion industries. The company currently has offices located in 11 cities worldwide, including New York, Tokyo, Paris, and Shanghai, and it serves over 450 cosmetic brands.

With the comprehensive support for operating systems, including Windows, Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat, CentOS), JetPack (Jetson), iOS and Android, and the optimization for CPU, GPU, SoC, APU, and VPUs.

Messenger and Video Conference Software Made in Taiwan Ensures Information Security
CyberLink launched U Messenger in 2014 and integrated the video conferencing feature in 2017 as U Meeting. U Messenger and U Meeting are developed in Taiwan, and the data is stored locally (aside from business clients that choose to store their data locally) with the highest information privacy and protection standards. Reduce Resource Inequality
CyberLink supported the Heng Shan Social Service Team to improve the living conditions of underprivileged groups that lack the economic resources to get affordable housing. Heng Shan Social Service Team gathers technical professionals to help disabled and underprivileged groups fix and improve their living environment nationally. Heng Shan Social Service Team has already helped 644 families and 18 organizations as of June 2019.
Reduce Urban-rural Disparities
CyberLink Corp. and CyberLink Perfect Foundation is devoted to reducing the urban-rural gap by donating to and holding the Digital Magic Academy project. Employees volunteer to provide multi-media courses for elementary and high school students in rural areas, to increase their digital editing skills and boost creativity.

CyberLink requests suppliers abide by environmental protection and occupational safety, health, and labor rights related policies, and that all are implemented with due diligence.
Follows EU Environmental Law
EU started enforcing the environmental Law since July 1, 2006 for imported goods to prohibit excessive heavy metal components such as lead, etc. CyberLink products are produced by external suppliers via the purchase process, and must follow the environmental Law and provide letters of assurance to ensure our products do not include prohibited or restricted ingredients. CyberLink also ensures suppliers follow the UN’s latest policies during the production process by requesting related chemical substance reports, samples, and testing statistics.
