Click the > Player Settings to open the Settings window, and then click the General tab. Click the More Settings button at the bottom of the tab to access additional settings, such as configuring settings for captured frames (snapshots) and selecting the default movie language.

More General Settings is composed of two tabs: Snapshot and Movie Language. The available settings on them are as follows:

Snapshot

On the Snapshot tab you can configure the settings for capturing frames of your favorite videos or movies. See Taking Photo Snapshots for more information.

Snapshot format: select the desired file format of the captured frame snapshots from the drop-down.

Save snapshot to: if you would like to change the location where the snapshots are saved, click Browse and then navigate to the folder you want to use for storage.

Movie Language

The Movie Language tab lets you set the default movie language for your disc content (when available).

Default movie language settings

Select the Customize option to specify a desired default language for a disc's menu, subtitles, and audio.

Select Same as UI language if you want CyberLink PowerDVD to automatically display a disc's menu, subtitles, and audio in the same language as your operating system's.

Note: the language you select is only used if available on the disc title you are playing back.
